Ex Pokémon are more powerful versions of Pokémon, with improved stats and attacks. They are exceptionally rare, difficult to catch, and even harder to defeat. If a player manages to knock out an ex Pokémon in a card game, their opponent draws two prize cards instead of one, bringing them closer to victory.

The Shrouded Fable expansion features reverse holo cards with a new, unique foil pattern surrounding the card art. Unlike standard holographic cards, in reverse holo, it's not the Pokémon's form that shines, but the background behind it. This effect gives the card a unique depth. These cards are highly prized by collectors, who appreciate their value, aesthetic appeal, and uniqueness.
